Cooking and Life : #StartANewLife

Life has taught me a lot of beautiful lessons like learning to be wise and being decisive in the tough situations by giving plenty of opportunities to learn and explore. It is important for an individual to see the hardships as new learnings in life, and one should keep oneself open to learning at all the time, because life is a journey and shall continue to teach us as we proceed with it. 

I have been blessed with many opportunities in life and have been grateful enough to have a great life. There have been certain struggles, but I have managed quite well to cross the hurdles and come out of the tough situations, and started a new life altogether without looking back.

It was when my parents met an accident on their way back home while they were returning from a trip. My father was a less salaried person but managed the household expenses with his monthly income. He could never make much savings and invested all of his money on my and my brother's education which is what has brought me here to have a blog of my own and I am writing with the best of my efforts. At that time, I wanted to continue my higher studies but seeing the family condition, I decided to take up some job and study simultaneously through open learning.

I decided to give a new start to my life by taking some tough and difficult decisions of my life. Cooking is something that I was always attracted to but my mother never let me do any of the cooking in the kitchen. I decided to take up cooking lessons from one of my school teacher who taught me the basic skills and then I began to test them on my own. I began to cook good food in very less time and was doing good at it. From then onwards, I decided to make an earning through it. I started cooking up for paying guest students, working people and for an old aunty who stayed two homes away from my home. 

With the small earnings that I made, I could take the responsibility of the household expenses quite well in very less time and decided to try a new venture, for life has always been about learning and experimenting for me, for it has always made me a better person and filled me hopes and aspirations of a good life.

I took forward my new venture of cooking from paying guests to mess food system which again turned out to be a great one. Also, with the assistance of my brother I went to take a next step of setting up a small food stall outside a college which gave us good profits. 

My parents and everyone in the family started feeling proud of me and appreciated my efforts. They congratulated me for the tough steps that I had to take in life and for making a good start to the new life and giving reasons of happiness to parents for managing things so well by taking up the responsibilities. What I realized is that we should learn to value life and then it values us in a great manner.
