The Life of Hopes

Life gives multiple reasons to rejoice, to learn and carry forward the life with high hopes and aspirations. It is important to be on high spirits and keep our life going on with good thoughts and positivity in our attitude. Life presents us with lot of opportunities and we should not be sad if anything of lesser importance and less happening takes place with us. We should be optimistic enough to look at life with a great attitude and look for the opportunities that are best suited for us.

There have been tough times in my life when I have been tested for my patience and tolerance levels. I would share an incident which taught me to be optimistic in life and take the life forward in a positive manner.

It was back in 2005 when I wrote my 12th boards. My parents went for a short trip and on their way back they met an accident. They met some serious injuries and both of them had to be given quality rest. I was the eldest sibling in the family. The family position was not so strong to meet the expenses properly for a long duration. I decided to take up some job and continue my studies through correspondence. I decided to explore my interest and hobby of cooking and do something with it.

In those days I decided to cook for the paying guest students in my area. I started getting calls, because I decided to do my job honestly and give the students good food. In the beginning, I used to go the student's home to cook their food. Later on, when I received lots of calls, I decided to start the tiffin system. My younger brother used to deliver the packets to their places. I started making good money which could take care of the family members and also started saving amount from the earnings.

From the saved earnings, I started experimenting new dishes in the kitchen and they stated turning to be good. With the savings, I invested them in a small stall near the college campus which had new dishes with varying flavours. Within no time, it started running well giving me good profits.

I also started taking cooking classes at my home. My parents started feeling proud of the little steps that I took initially and was doing good in a short span of time. I decided to give a good diet and support to my parents, and did not want them to be worried of the family expenses.

Life was turning out to be good and giving me good opportunities to explore. I decided not to give up and be as much positive as much I can be. I learnt to be optimistic in life for many situations from there onwards and explored my interest and hobby of cooking. Thus, it is rightly said to not lose hopes in the difficult times and be optimistic enough to give our best to life.
